NEWSLETTER - NOVEMBER 2023

And so we move into November, possibly the busiest month ever in the history of White Cobra!

We have three stage shows in rehearsal, two of which will be performed this month. And we're starting work on our next major series on the White Cobra YouTube channel, plus our plans for summer and autumn 2024, and even spring 2025 are moving forward.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves.

Lilies on the Land

Starting on Friday 3 November in Bath, our tour of Lilies on the Land kicks off at The Mission Theatre with tickets available at Ticketsource.co.uk, the following day we're in Devizes at The Wharf Theatre for a sold out performance.

The tour arrives at Northampton's Royal Theatre for three nights from November 16th. Once again tickets can be bought for the show by visiting the R&D website on www.royalandderngate.co.uk/whats-on/lilies-on-the-land/

It's always exciting to be able to perform at The Royal, and we hope our "locals" will be able to join us for the performances, which come of course in the week following Remembrance Sunday.

The tour ends at Chester Little Theatre on November 25th, with tickets on sale at Ticketsource.co.uk

It's a Wonderful Life - a live radio play

Just five days later we kick off our Christmas show with four performances at The Royal Theatre in Northampton, including a Saturday matinee on December 2nd. It's a fabulous version of the classic film story It's a Wonderful Life directed by Matt Fell.

Here he tells us about how he came across the script, which was originally performed by Northampton's Masque Theatre back in 2016.

After that we're taking the show to Hoby for a one off performance and then taking a break over Christmas.

YouTube

For those people not familiar with the White Cobra YouTube channel, take a look and, as the vloggers say, "Hit the subscribe button".  There's a selection of videos including our four-part audio adaptation of Pride and Prejudice which has racked up an astonishing 67,000 views.

And I'm really pleased that writer/director/actor Rebecca Cockroft has been hard at work adapting another Jane Austen classic which we'll be starting work on in the new year.

The Father

We're also already well into rehearsals for the Spring 2024 theatre production of The Father.  Here's a short video teaser.
